The the number of assessed properties in the City of Merritt is evidence that there's been a slow, but steady growth within City limits.
Graham Held, Deputy Assessor with the BC Assessment Authority says the number of properties in Merritt hasn't grown a lot since 2005.
Held says because of it, there aren't the wild swings that are often seen in the Lower Mainland region.
