The ground may be broken at the site of the Murray Church rebuild, but the fundraising isn’t done yet.
With just $15,000 left to be raised, the Murray Church fundraising committee has been offered a challenge by a generous anonymous donor. If the fundraising committee can bring in $7,500, the donor will match the funds.
There is one catch, however, a timeline.
“January 11 is two years since the arson fire at the Murray Church. So that’s our goal to raise this $15,000 by then,” said Richie Gage.
Richie also provided an update on the construction process, saying the foundation has been laid, and the team hopes to begin building upwards in the days ahead.
Anybody looking to donate can do so directly at any CIBC branch.
